In fact, you should spend a few days at the museum in order to see all the impressive collection. The Met is home to two million works of art from around the world, a period of 5,000 years and exhibitions in more than 400 galleries. If you do not have much time, I advise you to consult the prospectus free while you queue for the cloakroom. All the information you find below are from the prospectus. ne pas manquer pendant une visite d’1h30 au Metropolitan

Met NYC  If you want to discover the museum yourself, I suggest you start your tour in the 600-632 rooms on the second floor to see the old European Paintings of the Dutch Golden SIELE. There are works by Rembrandt, Van Ruysdael and Hobbema. A very interesting collection.

Then, go through a corridor to go to the South side rooms 800-830 for 19th- and Early 20th Century European Paintings and Sculptures. Major works by Van Gogh, Matisse and Degas.

Continue to the room 917: Modern and Contemporary Art. A collection of modern art, surprising, varied and exciting. You automatically get to the stairs to get to the first floor where you see among other works of Edward Hoppers.

Have you thirsty? From May to October, you can get to the fifth floor to go to the Roof Garden Cafe. Sometimes  there is live jazz music.
